CNC Programmer Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Develop and optimise CNC programmes for Turning and fabrication processes using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Set up CNC machines, including tooling and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated for precision.
- Operate CNC machinery safely and effectively while monitoring the production process for quality assurance.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs and improve manufacturing processes.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and inventory management within the warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine performance and material usage.
Experience
- Proficient in CAD software with experience in SolidWorks or similar applications.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to fabricate components as per specifications.
- Familiarity with materials handling practices and warehouse operations.
- Basic maths skills essential for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience in welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Previous experience working with tooling and milling operations is preferred.
