CNC Programmer Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Develop and optimise CNC programmes for Turning and fabrication processes using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
• Set up CNC machines, including tooling and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated for precision.
• Operate CNC machinery safely and effectively while monitoring the production process for quality assurance.
• Conduct regular maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs and improve manufacturing processes.
• Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and inventory management within the warehouse environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including machine performance and material usage.

Experience

• Proficient in CAD software with experience in SolidWorks or similar applications.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to fabricate components as per specifications.
• Familiarity with materials handling practices and warehouse operations.
• Basic maths skills essential for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
• Experience in welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Previous experience working with tooling and milling operations is preferred.
