Job Purpose:
The Jig & Fixture Coordinator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and organizing all jigs and fixtures within the production area.
This includes sorting for cleaning, monitoring stock levels, collecting / segregating fixtures requiring repair, and ensuring all equipment is stored and handled according to 5S standards. The role involves close liaising with Production, Engineering, and external service providers to ensure the availability and readiness of all jigs and fixtures that support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Jig & Fixture Management
· Sort jigs for cleaning and prepare for scheduled cleaning cycles (1 trailer per week).
· Manage and report jig and fixture stock levels.
· Segregate / collect jigs requiring repair and coordinate repair actions with the Engineering department.
· Liaise with Production and Engineering regarding trollies, fixtures, and other tooling requiring maintenance or repair (OWR, Paint & BIW areas).
· Oversee loading and off-loading of fixtures from high-level racking safely.
Storage & Housekeeping
· Maintain organized and safe storage of jigs, fixtures, and associated equipment following 5S principles.
· Manage the excess storage area, ensuring accessibility and compliance with site standards.
Logistics & Handling
· Coordinate model mix alterations to support required line feed.
· Manage returns from Sealer Line — segregate and store appropriately.
· Manage returns from Trim and Final (delivered by DHL) — segregate and store appropriately.
· Ensure accurate tracking and traceability of all jig and fixtures.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Good communication skills for cross-functional liaison with Production, Engineering, and external partners.
· Computer literate (required to input data onto an excel spreadsheet to track fixture quantities).
